Should people who are sentenced to life in prison be allowed the death penalty as an option, and why?
Econimcal issues aside (as I do not know the details of them well enough to factor this into my opinion) I think criminals sentenced to life imprisonment should have to suffer for what they were imprisoned for. They do not deserve the rights that everybody else has. However, someone who is jailed for murder is different to someone jailed for manslaughter in my opinion.
On a moral level, I think everyone has the right to chose to live or die. Even criminals who have forfeited their other rights.
